At approximately 200,000 square feet, this new kindergarten through eighth-grade school will serve nearly 1,200 of Santa Rosa County School District’s students. The two-story school will have three wings on both floors with the first-floor hallways sprouting off from an atrium hub. Planned in the design are 25 primary classrooms, 20 intermediate and middle school classrooms, and 23 exceptional student education rooms.

The design of this school features elements of sustainability and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) throughout the campus. Classroom units have been designed to prevent bullying, courtyards and playgrounds are tucked between building wings to provide privacy and safety, and secure entry designs maintain visitor compliance and control. LED lights that operate by a motion sensor, low VOC paints, and finishes, and a reflective white roof are some of the elements of sustainability included ensuring a lifetime of reduced costs for the school district.
