The District at Cool Springs

Franklin, Tennessee
CoolSprings Galleria 01 Franklin TN 01.j

The redevelopment and expansion of this regional mall creates a new fashion flagship in metropolitan Nashville, Tennessee. The creation of The District at Cool Springs Galleria, re-imagined an abandoned Sears store and loading dock, resulting in the creation of a new sophisticated mall entry and identity.  The expansion of the mall provided a new H&M while expanding the tenant base with a new outlying building. The expansion is designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing mall design, while the new entry celebrates the rich history and culture of the surrounding Middle Tennessee Region with regional design elements.

Architectural elements of this redevelopment are of modern simplicity to meet the demands of the high-end shopper with equestrian-style architectural elements reflective of the community. To further accentuate the focus on shoppers, outdoor living rooms were designed with canopied walkways, trellises, and green screen arbors, as well as raised planter beds with indigenous plants and green walls to soften building elevations.
